You can upgrade to Core ix 4xxx (4th gen Haswell) or Xeon E3 12xxv3 (requires a dedicated GPU due to the lack of integrated graphics)

Examples that will likely work:

i5 4460

i7 4770(k)

i7 7790(k)

Xeon E3 1230v3

Xeon E3 1240v3

Its not going to play any new aaa games. A 4770k doesnt have the performance to keep em at 60fps or even a stable 30fps anymore. Even some esports games of today wont run well.

Also fyi its lga 1150 needs a xeon v3 for consumer desktop not v2.

Either way there is NO guarantee it will work.

Id avoid wasting money on a 11 year old pc. Haswell has stayed too expensive for what it is.

i have a tc-603, and from experience i can say:

- acer locks their bios in terms of cpu support. not exactly one model, but they're not as universal as a normal board.

- if you're gonna spend money on upgrading.. just go all the way, you'll end up needing to anyways.

got it, so locked bios. propriatary upgrade that only accepts specific cpus, on their documents and site. i was only planning this for my budget friendy setup for my friend for sub 100$ and maybe the xeon could, but probably locked bios so no go + the 4770 still scalped going for 30-40 bucks, i got nitro 5 and a tower so im set. Thankyou

not so much locked and proprietary, but they just didnt bother adding the necessary code to make ALL the cpu's run on the board, when they'll never ship that board with anything other than the handful of options on their own roadmap.
