b250 or z170 for my 7600k?

Go to solution Solved by Wh0_Am_1,

Welcome to the LTT forums!

I would use the Z170 as it is an overclockable board, allowing one to squeeze the most out of that old (still very capable) CPU.

Otherwise the only real benefit I see for the B250 is a second m.2 slot. (the other one I see is I like the colour scheme on the B250 more)

okay so i have a z1 70 mb and a b250 to use with my 7600k in for my brother

my question is do i use the z170 pro gaming from asus or the msi b250 krait gaming

both are updated bios and the ram i wanna slam in there is 2 of the kits listed under for total of 32 gigs

 G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 16GB (2x8) kit 3200MHz CL16 (16-18-18-38)
