Context: Before, whenever I turn on my PC, case fans at max speed, PSU Fan spins normally (quiet mode I guess?). A few weeks back, I streamed PUBG at 6000Kbps bitrate, for around 2-4hrs, inside my room with AC set at 18°C. This streaming session happened 2-3 times at different days. Then just last night, upon powering on my PC I noticed an unusual fan noise, like running at max speed, first I thought it was one of the case fans, but upon careful inspection it was the PSU fan, WHICH did not stop or even slowed down throughout a 3hr usage time (I only updated steam games since I can only use my PC for 2-4 times a month)

So my questions are:

1. Is the PSU Temp sensor broken? If yes, Can it really break with just that kind of load?
2. Will Seasonic grant RMA for this?
3. Are there any possible causes?
4. Any basic troubleshooting tips that I can do to check the actual issue?
5. Can I still use it normally or should I process it for RMA?

That would be my guess. Anything can break at random, I wouldn't think it's because of a normal loaf.

I would expect them to. You could just ask for an RMA.

Just the PSU thinking something has gone wrong.

You could try restarting, or trying the PSU in another system.

Despite what some virtue signalling Right to Repair-people will claim, you can not disassemble your PSU without voiding your warranty. Here's Jonnyguru on the issue.

Since the PSU thinks something is wrong, it would probably be best to RMA it.

:)

Thanks for the answers. I already contacted the shop where I bought it and luckily they will process the RMA for me, I just need to send it back to them.
