I was about to buy this monitor, as it ticks all the boxes I have in mind:

However, I just found out the USB-C port on Odyssey OLED G8 LS32DG802SUXXU provides up to 65W of Power Delivery, which is insufficient to charge my Macbook Pro 16 inch. This is so disappointing.馃槒

Do you think in the future, they'll release a version that would provide 90W PD?

Do you really need USB-C Mackbook charging on your monitor?

Is using a regular charger that inconvenient?

If I connect my Macbook to the monitor via HDMI cable, then I can't close the lid while I'm using it, unless it's plugged in all the time.

Too many cables!

What kind of cables do you use that you can't close the lid when it's plugged in?

My current monitor supports 90W, so only one short USB-C cable connects the macbook to the monitor and I close the lid.

I'll have to connect the charger and use an HDMI cable with the Samsung monitor, I think.

I don't think I can close the lid when the laptop is NOT receiving power, right?

You can. Worst case disable a setting for it.

Either way just get a small dock + charger for it, tuck it behind under wherever and boom one cable plugin solution!
