UnRAID NAS - HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 - compatibility issues

Hi, firstly thankyou for the advice.

I have a small microserver HP Gen 8 - running Unraid. It has a terrible G2020T processor running with a small transcoding card (Quadro P100). It works to an acceptable standard but I have an issue, is that I want to install an Xeon E2-1265L. I have the CPU and have tried it yet I come across an interesting issue with it. I also purchased a E2-1260L incase the CPU was at fault with the same results.

The BIOs on the system is completely up to date, there are no new versions of this.

If I install the 1265L or the 1260L, I loose the ability to detect and run the Quadro P100. Using HP iLO, it does not even show after either CPU's are installed. Therefore UnRAID does not detect it. The system reports that the 1 and only PCI-E slot is empty, even though the card is installed. The second I return to the G2020T, the card is detected and everything is working fine again. I need the Quadro P100 for transcoding a plex server, as the G8 uses some Matrox GPU, and therefore any internal iGPU is not avaliable.

Any idea why this is happening? I assume it might be a BIOs issue but I cant get a fix on that as the system is redundant now. Some internet searching suggests other people have a similar combination with no issue?

Thanks!!

Based on this I'd suggest giving the contacts on the new CPUs a good clean. I'll assume the socket is ok if the original CPU still works in it.
