White noise ( hiss ) Problem in Creative Stage SE mini

I purchased Creative Stage SE mini on 4/12/2024.
My speaker has a very loud hissing sound and I have tried the following steps but it has not helped to reduce this hissing sound. I would be grateful if you could provide a solution to reduce this problem
1. Replace the cable
2. Replace the speaker's power supply (the hissing sound is present whether it is connected to the computer with a USB cable or directly to the power supply and in Bluetooth mode)
3. Move the speaker to another location
4. Update the firmware and drivers
Creative USB Host Driver 3.01.11.00
Creative Stage SE mini FW v1.006

This is generally a characteristic of a class D or T amplifier. There is nothing you can do to reduce or remove it other than constantly play music to drown it out. Unfortunately the information is very absent in CL’s website, so I suspect it is not something they are proud of to advertise. This is unfortunately the way with modern devices. There are companies that improve the noise floor and others that do a better job controlling the hiss, but they are higher end models. Sorry I wish it was just your unit. But it’s all of them… don’t drive yourself crazy trying to fix it.

Dirty power.

Get yourself a line conditioner with surge suppression.

It should clean that up, maybe even give you a cleaner picture on your screen too.

I wasn't aware of this being a "class D" kind of thing, class D are solid state and I thought were known as cleaner noise floor. Not sure what Class T is unless syou are using it for a Tube amplifier.

It is a very affordable soundbar so who knows what percent they put into making a good product and how much is a cash grab.

I'm assuming this is a new problem?

Unfortunately, this noise is also heard when playing music.

I also have another speaker, the T-DAGGER TGS600. It also has the hissing noise problem, but it is much less. You have to put your ear to the speaker to notice it.

How is it that in a much cheaper and less well-known product, this problem is less?

You assume CL is placing quality components in a $35 speaker? That Dagger has a 3w rating.

I’ve heard the complete opposite. Class A, B, or A/B have the lowest noise floors. Class D was historically in the cheapest products. They have improved significantly since ten years ago but it’s still not as good in cheaper products.

Absolutely not. But based on my research, this has nothing to do with the quality or price of your speaker.

The link below is an example of a $280 speaker.

I've had Fostex, Adam, Genelec and Dynaudio monitors. They all have a very low hiss if you crank the volume a bit and put your ear to the cone. That's thermal noise - all electronic circuits have a degree of that.

It's normal for it to be quiet, but you're saying you can hear it over the music so that's not good.

Also, can you disable the Bluetooth? Even my A2+ speakers are noticeably hissy with the Bluetooth enabled.

Yes, I did that but the problem still exists.
