Nvidia App pressing Enter toggles fullscreen mode ingame?!

Anyone experienced this? its not a shortcut or anything (i checked) but after installing the new Nvidia App this happens everytime i try to type something in chat i cant because, well enter doesn't do what its supposed to do and toggles fullscreen instead... how does that make sense?

Is your Alt key stuck? Cause Alt+Enter normally is a full screen toggle

yeah..... that's what's weirding me out haha... but how could it be stuck!? oof 

 

time to pull the caps and clean the keyboard i guess? it doesn't look exactly dirty tbh...

figured it out... if you change anything related to the overlay while ingame this happens... it's technically "stuck" although not physically, it seems a software problem.  good old nvidia,  the overlay never worked well for me... you can't even properly adjust the position... RTSS is so much better (although they could fix their fonts lol)

I'm having the exact same issue, glad it's not just me. A little temporary fix is to ensure you press alt after making any change through the nvidia overlay. Simply pressing the alt key once after making changes with the overlay 'unsticks' it and will let you press enter without having your game forcibly be taken out of full screen mode.
