Hello, I hope you're all having a great day. I'm having an issue with my EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3, where the PWR4 sensor suddenly shows a very high temperature (around 90°C), and the fans ramp up to full speed for a short time before returning to normal. However, I’m certain it’s not a heating issue, as I’ve been monitoring the sensor with GPU-Z. When the temperature spikes, it jumps from 41°C to 90°C almost instantly and then drops back down in the same way. It’s impossible for the temperature to rise from 40°C to 90°C in less than a second. The other temps are normal, with the hotspot temp at 78°C.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this issue, I’d really appreciate your help.

Edit: The GPU is sealed and has never been disassembled.

I recall the 30 series having some fairly major power spikes at launch, I could see that causing something like a power sensor to go high for no other apparent reason.

I forget if the fix for that was vBIOS or drivers.
