Hello guys, hope you're all doing well.

I'm new here and I don't know if this website can get me any answers but I thought I might as well try cuz the community is great.

So a few months ago I dropped my ps5 controller while it was still in the charger. Nothing happened to either of them, but the female usb on my ps5 had the plastic pin cover break (I don't know what you call it), as you can see in the image.

At first I thought I'd leave it cuz "if it ain't broke don't fix it", so I just keep it in the charger cable, but I thought about it now and if these pins broke it would be a much bigger problem to fix.

My question is:

Can I reattach it with the right glue? Keep in mind that I only have super glue (idk if it can be used on plastic) and silicone glue (the one you don't heat up).

Thank you guys I'm lookinh forward to see what you have to say.

Not sure, the plastic appears to be damaged at the top, might prevent it from going back in

Although if it does go back in, it will absolutely work. Try and put it in without glue first

Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");

a tiny drop of any sort of glue that'll glue plastics on the broken off bit, and pushing it in place should do the trick.

i'd recommend against superglue, because you have very little working time and the pins will hold it in place anyways so a cure time of several hours isnt a problem.
