Does anyone know if the Corsair USB 7.1 Surround Sound adapter will work with other headphones?

Like the title says. I got this USB adapter with my Corsair Void headset but it's lived its life and they are in a poor state currently. So I replace this with my new HD 450BT that I intend to use wired pair with a mod mic to connect to my PC when gaming. I have a Headphone/ Microphone splitter cable so I was intending to use that to plug both devices in. The only reason I want to use the corsair adapter is that it easy to get to. VS drawing under my desk every thing I need to unplug something.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

The headset comes with a Combo Jack, that plugs in to a 3.5mm jack to USB dongle. What I want to do is plug a splitter cable in to the dongle and Plug in some headphones and a Mic. Just need to know their dongle is universal with other devices. Not going to use the 7.1 features or any other feature it suppose to offer.

I'm not entirely certain of your setup, however why don't you just use a 3.5mm TRRS extension or a 3.5mm TRS extension?

That way you'll be able to plug it in to your computer and put the end of it where it's most convenient.

The difference between the two being TRRS is 4-pole containing mic and headphone and TRS is 3 pole only doing mic or headphone.

Because I have the corsair adapter already, which means it costs me $0.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
