Free backpack and Corsair gear???

Today I came home to find an LTT backpack + the BFD bundle with the corsair keyboard and mouse. 

 

I didn't buy this

 

There are no charges on my account

 

No one close to me could have afforded to buy this for me, and almost no one would have even known I wanted it

 

I'm baffled and confused. Lttstore doesn't even have my new address, yet here it is. I was looking at 

Anyone have any insight into this? Has this happened before?

Is the package labeled for you? If not and you opened it, you likely broke the law in opening someone else's mail. Otherwise someone close to you had to have bought it for you. Even if you think they can't have afforded it, maybe they threw it on a credit card or something.

Are you in the LTT system?  Do they have your new address already?  Maybe some giveaway or something?

Is your name on the delivery slip?

 

Is there a packing slip in the box?

 

How was it shipped?  USPS has forwarding, don't forget.

Yes, my name AND current address is on both the delivery label and the internal packing slip. 

 

The shipping label says UPS. Theoretically, if it had been forwarded then the original delivery label would have my old address, not the new one, right?

Correct, UPS does not forward.  As only USPS has the address change form.  

 

So, someone ordered it for you.   Since LLT and UPS don't have your new address, only someone who knows it sent it.

 

Simplest is usually the correct one.

Yeah, that's a good point. Spmehow I always forget Occams razor.

 

Hopefully I'll learn after Christmas or something.

As others have said, this is almost certainly the result of a friend or family member sending this to you. The email address of the person who placed the order would be listed on the packing slip if you're wanting a clue as to who might've done this!

Where might I find that? I'm looking at the packing slip and all I can find is what appears to be a 13 digit user ID. I had my wife look at the packing slip and can't find any email other than the LTT support email.

Contact LTT< there will be a phone number on that packing slip most likely.  Ask them.  They may not tell you, since it's an ID number but they may hint at a first name or who knows.

 

I'd look squarely at your wife, to be honest.  SHe knows what you want, where you live, etc.  Spouses hide payments and what not all the time, as you can't surprise someone who gets an AMEX text for every purchase
