Hi! My pc won’t turn on since the last week or so, I went on a 3 day trip and when I came back it wouldn’t turn on.

I have an OMEN pre built, the 25 L with a 3060 12GB, i5 13 something and a 500W coolermaster PSU.

I thought I could be the power button but not even shorting the two pins with a screw driver work.
Idk know if it’s relevant but we’re I live, rn it’s cold about 10ºC, there’s not much of power outages and the only bad thing that has happen was a minor water spill on the front io, but this was like months ago, since then there was no problems, since I let it dry well enough before using it again.
And I really don’t know what could be the problem because since I came back from the trip I have turn it up twice, first it needed like a couple of clicks in the power button and work perfectly fine. Then the second one it didn’t work so I thought it was a bad connection to the outlet so I adjusted the cable and it worked. Now I have no idea what it is because it won’t turn on at all.

I have now reseated al the cables inspected the power button and removed the front io.

what else could it be? Pls help 🫠

  • 3 weeks later...

1. If your pc PSU has a button turn it off and disconnect the power cord , then press down the power button for around 30 seconds or 1 minute then replug the power in and turn on the pc

2. Reset the CMOS - google it

3. Remove the GPU and plug in the HDMI or Displayport into the Motherboard port and if it boots its a gpu problem

4.check if all cables are not loosey goosey

-This is the last effort you can do - PLUG IN AN ETHERNET PORT , for some reason on some systems Even my own if I ever experienced it not booting up even in the bios I have to connect a it to the network as at times I use the wifi as I still have copper connections and the 5G modem is faster for now - not sure why this works but it juts does , might have to do with Windows os

Good luck
