Looking for legacy drivers that work with PCI sound card and Microsoft SideWinder controller

I want to play retro games with a SideWinder Freestyle Pro, using a PCI card that has a gameport interface, more specificallly the SIMT013B (my controller didn't come with a gameport-to-usb adapter) but I don't know any pages that host drivers for windows XP (the latest O.S. that natively supports 15-pin gameport)

As an update, I was able to find drivers for the sound card but the ones I got from archive.org don’t seem to be compatible with windows XP

 

the OS does list the game controller as “working properly” but also as “not connected”
