How many companies actually sell cases they make rather than buying from companies like Soeyi?

I am pretty sure I found the source of the Hyte Y60, so now I'm really curious.聽

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 馃槈 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

For both cases and cars, it's a bit complicated.聽
It often doesn't make much sense for a design company to own a factory. Factories are expensive and kinda need to be running most of the time to be profitable. Given that the economy these days is mostly Just In Time and storage costs are high, most organizations find it easier to just contract out the production of their products rather than owning their own factories.聽

It is cheaper to source a factory that has the sheet metal equipment, and the skilled operators to run the equipment than it is to buy a building, set it up, hire people, and get under way.

There are a few big guys who do their own work.

"they make" has different definitions.

in theory, apple doesnt make their own iphone, but they contract a manufacturing company to produce the device to their specification, only for them.

there's also a.. potentially shady (?) business practisce of some manufacturing companies to copypaste their customers' work, and to provide something to market that is "surprisingly similar"... and then rebadge companies go ahead and buy those in bulk to part them out to individual customers.

as for the supposed source of the hyte y60.. that probably is a bit of an example of the above game of telephone.

What makes you think you found the source of the Y60 and not one of the many companies whose sole purpose is to copy other products?

Do you mean "Hype" cases?聽聽

Hey, I could be wrong, but the question is in my title.聽

my point is everything is made there and copied even case's. thats just what happens. there no law protecting your ip in china.

doller and hour pay in china keeps cost down and more moeny for ceo of both us and china so both win and china can make copys of it to also ferther make more moeny win win for both. other then the worker... they even wright the manuls witch is what there so many errors in it. they also dont test there stuff just gos to market witch is why you see recalls or problems with stuff. us dose not care nor dose china.

luserosman was talking about why companys wont give parts to repalace things its not the parts it finding out they stole a patten from some other compay. they mostly agree to use each other stuff and not sue each other most times.

ai is a whole other problem how to sue a robot for stilling a paten... or charge it for speeding for that matter...
