Need help figuring out if i should buy now or not

Hello everyone !

For context, i live in Belgium and do buy from europeans digital stores, so prices are quite higher than in america or most other regions in the world (from my understanding) and i've been looking for GPUs for the past week. I managed to save up to 900€ to get one and was looking for the 4070Ti Super, for its amount of VRAM (without costing more than 1k€) and because i plan on getting a 1440p monitor. I also like to have a really good margin of performance to keep it for the next 5 years.

So i've waited for good sales but even with the black friday sales (which was a joke) and other sales, it seems this gpu does not go below 800€ and was wondering if the announcement and release of the next generation of gpus from all manufacturers would bring the prices significantly down or not. I'm completely clueless tbh and the video from LTT made me understand that there's little chances the prices would go down significantly in the next months. I'm still on a 2060 Super and while i could keep it for a little more, i've been waiting to upgrade for YEARS. Also the model i have is quite noisy so the sooner i can change, the better ahah.

Also i just saw a deal for this model at an interesting price but should i wait few more weeks or get it right now ?

I'm aware my post is quite chaotic and i apologize for that, but i would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to help me making a decision.image.thumb.png.459a81ac8136ece13842d9a775fec546.png

Highly relevant to the things that you will be playing. AAA newest releases? GPU will age within two or three years with how well optimised new games are released. Something older, but if you plan to play something that's already released or F2P titles then this will age better.

Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Kraken X62 Rev 2 - STRIX X470-I - 3600MHz 32GB Kingston Fury - 250GB 970 Evo boot - 2x 500GB 860 Evo - 1TB P3 - 4TB HDD - RX6800 - RMx 750 W 80+ Gold - Manta - Silent Wings Pro 4's enjoyer

SetupZowie XL2740 27.0" 240hz - Roccat Burt Pro OG Corsair K70 browns - PC38X - Mackie CR5X's

Current build on PCPartPicker

Ok so since 5000 series is around the corner in januari I'd opt to wait a bit. As for monitor the gigabyte m27q is going out of stock and has a great deal on megekko

It's last gen sure but it's damn nice.

or wherever else you wanna buy

I'd say that waiting may be best as amd does tend to drop prices wheras nvidia barely does. 840 is now the normal price for a lot of 4070ti supers. So no worry in it chaning much.

Theres also the 15% better 7900xtx for 929 rn. Which is most likely to drop price.

Thank you for the monitor deal !

I was considering AMD for a while but i really value some of Nvidias tech like DLSS upscaler and their RT performance. But i've looked at some recent leak about the upcoming 8000 series gpus from AMD and it looks promising so i think i'll wait. Not sure it's the best move though ahah

Word of caution about the M27Q... it has BGR instead of RGB subpixel layout which makes text look strange. This is fixed in the other variants including M27Q-P

Correct, however it is HARD to notice at a normal sitting distance. I know I have one myself.

It's also why it's half price over the other m27q-p
