monitor upgrade from facebook

Im looking at upgrading my 1080p 144hz ips monitor to something a bit bigger, both in screen size and resolution. Which would you go for, 28inch 4K 144hz IPS OR 34inch 1440p 144hz VA ultrawide

Productivity? 4K one

Gaming? Ultrawide one

Mix of both, though mostly CAD

If a higher resolution would benefit CAD work, of course go with 4K. But otherwise I would personally choose an ultrawide over a 4K display, 1440p is plenty

Went with 4K, as im afraid some older cad software might not like the aspect ratio
