Go to solution Solved by cekcons,

The current size of my motherboard is Mini-ITX, I would like to go up in size to Micro-ATX but I cant choose which motherboard is right for me, my only requirements are AM5, DDR5 and must have 2 M.2 slots, I am open to all and any opinions.

Is there something that your current board can't do?

mobo you send seems fine. But be sure to check your case and angles connectors of mobo. That can be a problem. Like this mobo has 90 degree usb 3.0 connector. Other than that good to go.

About 4 slot. I used 4x32 gb (2x32 gb ddr5 5600mhz and 2x32 6000 mhz) and worked totaly fine for me. Tho i was using intel.

how its goin mate ? hope my post helps. Maybe drop a like or follow ? >w<

no ? i guessed that 😄

one more question though, is quad channel ddr5 really that bad?

Consumer platforms generally don't support quad channel, only dual channel. Using four sticks does not automatically equal quad channel.

To answer the question, using four sticks makes it much less likely to run at higher frequencies.

So, what would happen if I were to get 4 sticks of Corsair Vengeance 6000 MHZ and set the frequency to 6400 in bios, I have my current set of memory in that config except im in dual channel, what would happen

You'd still run in dual channel, but with two sticks per channel. Depending on whether the sticks are single rank or dual rank, that would cause you to run with dual rank or quad rank per channel.

Of course, there's a good chance it won't even boot. Four sticks, especially with quad rank are fairly hard on the CPU's integrated memory controller. An additional overclock on top, good luck.

Alright so, what if I get this memory, DONT overclock it, and just enable EXPO

Enabling EXPO is overclocking it. These are the non-OC speeds depending on ram rank and channel.

2x1R DDR5-5200
2x2RDDR5-5200
4x1RDDR5-3600
4x2RDDR5-3600

I think I understand now, this would have a negative impact on preformance, would it not?
