low frames and my computer is slowing down ever since i upgraded my gpu

so ever since i upgraded my graphics card from a 1660 super to a 3060 my computer has had all sorts of problems like stuttering lower framerates and crashing on multiple games i tryed ddu i have a 600w power supply, ryzen 9 3900x and a 3060 i serarched up if i needed a power supply and it said nividia reccomends a 650w bout i dont think t hat would be to much of a problem because my computer still turns on and still functions its just been really slow i even updated my bios and my drivers on everything i really have no clue if anybody has any suggestions on what it could be please say them thank you. specs: motherboard b450 gaming plus max cpu: ryzen 9 3900x GPU: rtx 3060 12gb RAM:32gb ddr4  3600mhz PSU 600w thermal take SSD: 1tb

50w less than recommended generally shouldn't be an issue, especially if the unit is high quality. Nvidia err on the side of caution, since they know some people have really crap PSUs.

If a PSU has too little power, it'll not result in the system not powering on (a computer doesn't draw full power during boot). But it could result in the machine suddenly turning off under load.

Try monitoring CPU and GPU usage and temps during gaming with something like Intel PresentMon or MSI Afterburner. Also post the rest of your specs, e.g. how much RAM do you have, what speed, is it dual channel etc.

okay i just put the rest of my specs in the bio but i haave msi after burner and i have normal temps normal cpu usage but my gpu is like 60% to 80 and also i watched a yt video about vram and i havfe a lot of usage in that everytime i game and my ram is in the dual channel spots

VRAM getting used while gaming is normal, that's what it's there for. Not like a game needs to share that resource with anything else.

Which game(s) are we talking about and do you have the 8 or 12 GB model of the 3060? If you have too little VRAM for a game, that can result in less than optimal performance. If that's the case, you can try reducing VRAM hungry settings like texture resolution. But 8 GB is still fine for most games, and 12 GB shouldn't be an issue in almost all games.

GPU usage 60-80% is somewhat low, so potentially CPU limited, but shouldn't be too bad. If there are options in game that lower CPU usage you can try that. Otherwise, you can also try increasing graphical details. While that will lower frame rate, it should also reduce CPU load and could result in a smoother experience overall.

I have the 12 gb 3060 and i cant even play b06 without running it on safe mode and siege always stutters so bad and then when i play rust it just freezes every now and again but ive tryed many different setting and it doesnt change at all but in b06 when i turn up the settings and im only using like 5 gbs of vram it crashes its almost like its not using all of it or its limiting itself

Could certainly be the result of a CPU limit. Some games mostly require single core performance and having more cores doesn't help. You need to check usage of individuals cores, not overall usage.

If one or two cores are pegged close to 100% while the rest are idle, you're still CPU limited.  With AM4 it should be pretty simple to update the CPU if that turns out to be the case.

A game only using 5 GB is fine. It will use whatever it needs to load all textures etc. into VRAM. If it doesn't need more than this, there's no point in using more just for the sake of using more. But that should mean a lack of VRAM is not the cause.

okay i will check that right now and if it is limited how would i fix that?

By upgrading to a faster CPU. You can also try overclocking your current CPU, but performance gains are usually fairly small.

But crashes and having to run in safe mode make it sound like there's something wrong on the software side. If DDU and running "sfc /scannow" in cmd don't help, might be time for a fresh Windows install.
