Trying to install Windows 10 onto my alienware computer that has Linux Mint installed on it using Ventoy.

First I should probably give the full story i'll try to make it as simple as possible. A couple of months ago I installed Linux Mint onto my Alienware R13 that used to have Windows 11. I seem to be having many issues with Linux Mint so I want to switch back to Windows. I don't want to go back to Windows 11 because I don't wanna deal with all of the flaws it has I would love to back to Windows 10 instead. Issue with Linux is the Windows Installation Media software isn't supported on Linux so am forced to use the alternative of Ventoy. I have made it to the Windows 10 installation screen but it is now asking me for drivers to continue with that install. Do you guys know what drivers I need with my Alienware R13 and how to install them? Or if am doing something wrong? Thanks.

It seems you're in messy situation, you don't have driver for controller of disk drives.

So windows 10 is too old for your hardware?

You can get those from alienware support.

Although they are probably only .exe installer but can certainly work if you have driver files from support download page.

Or else.

There's workaround though is by installing windows 11 then copy drivers folder to usb then reinstall windows 10 then load that driver folder and hope it picks it up.

If it's too much work, I'd recommend give kubuntu a try or bazzite instead.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

Regardless of compatibility 🐧🖖

Pardon me for late response.

I've haven't received notification on this thread.

Did you select into a folder where driver files is located?

If so then you probably have wrong driver files, you can always ask tech support on alienware for extra help.

I can't help since there's no other way.

Or go install kubuntu/bazzite.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.
