Which layout do I choose for this keyboard in QMK?  I don't see anything called Nuphy or Halo

ok..... I found Nuphy.io but it says I have no compatible devices.... ....ok found the firmware page finally

While I'm at it I might as well give a quick first impression.  I've only had the keyboard for half an hour so it's difficult to really get a feel for it, however I made the mistake of buying the 96% when I really wanted something closer to a TKL, my bad for shopping while I was drinking lol.  So the layout is very difficult to get used to considering I've only used TKL for a few years now and this is my first 96%

The feel is fantastic though and I love the sound, to think that it only goes up from here is amazing.  The first couple whacks of the spacebar caused it to stick but it appears to be working just fine now.  Just now a double tap of the spacebar didn't register but I am fresh to this keyboard.  A handful of times a key hasn't registered but again typing this is going rather well.

All in I wanted some thock and I got some, I'll probably have to order one that is a different format and give this one to my mom.  I'm going to test out the polaris switches before that happens plus give myself some time to get used to the lemon tactile that are on here now.  I'm more of a clicky guy but these are one of the best I've felt, not sure how much of that is the chassis and how much is the switch.

As to ordering from nuphy: The keyboard I really wanted was sold out, infact the first visit of the site had most of their keyboards sold out which is probably how I ended up with a 96%.  As for shipping I ordered on October 30th and it arrived today November 9th which coming from China is pretty good, I've only had a headphone tube amp come from china faster and even that was a shock to even the company ship it.  I am a little worried about how returns would be handled, as I've ran into international returns rarely being worth the shipping cost before.  One gripe would be that it never updated the tracking to let me know that it had left the port of entry into the united states.  I'm in the midwest for reference.

All in I'm happy, if I wasn't planning on making this a hobby I might reconsider, but when I do a tech hobby I enjoy the experience of several different products.  I probably would have done more than impulse buy if I was considering a one and done solution.

Unfortunately I only have the V1 of the Halo-series so I'm not much help here.

Yeah, I think you need to buy the Gem80 board if you're looking for a NuPhy TKL. Their inventory is so odd.

The spacebar is one of the most interesting aspects of buying a NuPhy/Halo board. It's very dampened and IMO sounds very nice. Other brands have a much louder spacebar.

Did the keyboard come with the usual sampler of 1 of each keyboard switch? I think the Baby Kangaroo switches are very interesting since the tactile bump is right at the beginning so it feels more like pressing down a rubber button with a satisfying snap when it finally actuates. Several other switches do that "no pre-travel" gimmick too, the Kangaroo is the only one that comes to mind for me.

It's a fun hobby as long as you don't mind having so many miscellaneous boxes and boards everywhere. I recommend getting some Kailh Box Jade or Kailh Box White if you want clicky. I outfitted a keyboard at work with Box Jade and it is hilariously loud. Thankfully it's a seat that essentially never gets used.
