Several people on reddit have complained about getting very frequent (think 20 seconds every five minutes) mid-roll ads. I can confirm that this is also my experience if I turn on Incognito to disable Youtube Premium.

I thought that LMG disabled mid-roll ads on all of their uploads, did this change, when and why?

If mid-roll ads have to be there, maybe LMG should manually set them up to be less frequent? Or will youtube add more ads if LMG sets them up to play, say, every 20 minutes?

The way things are, it's bloody ridiculous:

You can allow specific browser extensions to run during incognito mode, which means you can run adblock during incognito.

I'm assuming they only did this as a test to confirm the reports from other people.

So the real issue is getting the people suffering the problem to use adblock, although I think Youtube will go hard at some point on embedding ads into the stream to prevent this bypass.

There are no ads for me in incognito after disabling my adblocker.

Got an ad before the video started. But there's nothing during the actual video

Spoiler

Could be they hadn't had time to go in the settings for that particular live video to disable the mid rolls after they ended stream.

Either that or Youtube is enabling mid rolls for specific people living in specific regions regardless of the uploader's settings.
