Budget (including currency): $3000 aud

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: sim racing games currently on a ultra wide monitor and vr headset in the future, call of duty and the new gta 6 when released

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

it currently has a MasterBox TD500 Mesh ARGB V2 Mid-Tower Case with a 2060 super, intel 15 10400 cpu, a b460 aorus pro ac and two sticks of ac30058 ram. i was thinking of going up to a 3080 super with the sales and was wondering if anyone has some build ideas around these games such as asseta corsa, r factor 2, bo6, destiny 2 and gta 6 when released

thank you

Good list, but sim games *really* benefit of the 3D cache

So I'd get a 7800X3D (A$700) even if it's real expensive, it still fits the budget

Or even a 9800X3D, another +A$100 tho

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones
