Should I replace my current Corsair SF750 with the 2024 SF1000 PSU?

I recently upgraded some parts in my gaming PC (5800X3D, RTX 3090 Ti, 20TB HDD) and I'm wondering if I should get the new Corsair SF1000 2024 model power supply for better efficiency and overall updates to my build. I've been told by others that I should, but I'm still on the fence. What do you all think? Honestly, I hate researching power supply specs these days, and it feels like the grading spreadsheets I’ve found are outdated, though I’m probably just not looking in the right places.

Replace the holy grail of SFF PSU's? Why? What's wrong with it?

Currently, nothing. But people keep telling me that 750W isn’t enough for my current gaming PC. I don’t fully believe them, but I’ve seen Linus mention that 750W is pretty low for modern gaming PCs, which kind of bugs me.

I am pretty sure that you will be fine with a 750w power supply. In terms efficiency the power savings will be absolutely negligible. The only reason to upgrade would be if you are having issues or are planning on getting a beefier GPU imo.

I ran a 5800x and 3090 (at 400W) for two years with that exact PSU. Its the same PSU most everyone in the SFF PC space wants due to how much power it can handle. Don't let that 750W on the side bother you, that thing is an extremely high quality powerhouse.

And if it wasn't enough, your system wouldn't be working.

Well, with all the jokes about the RTX 5090 having a power supply cable on the back of the I/O (which would be hilariously insane if it were real), I’d assume we’ll never need to worry about large wattage PSUs again!

No you don't

Paying $240 to save 5W isn't really a bright move
