Budget (including currency): 50k-60k INR (without GPU)

Country: India

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8700G 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory

PSU: Corsair 600W Power Supply

Case: ANT ESPORTS ICE-511MT

I plan to add more memory down the line, a GPU around the *060, *060ti, *070 price range next year after the 50 series is announced

I have 3 SSDs so storage is covered

My CPU choice is one with integrated graphics as that's something I value, would like to stick with a CPU with integrated graphics

Its my first build, balancing help would be appreciated, i want this to be a future-proof system (AM5), im not going to be on the cutting edge but as long as my computer is decently powerful im happy

For AM5 they all have integrated graphics except the F models, though only the G models are suitable for playing games.

Oh wow that shaves 5k off of my build, thank you

My original pick was a Ryzen 5 7600X, is that a big downgrade for the CPU?

The 7600x is faster than the 8700G in gaming with a dedicated GPU. ( Only a small amount though, couple % at most )

Without a GPU the 8700G is faster.

Thats works for me, is the build otherwise well balanced?

You should get 6000CL30 RAM or as near as you can.  5200CL40 is very slow comparatively, and not worth the savings.

As mentioned.  6000Mhz CL30 is the sweet spot for Ryzen 7000-9000 series.

Other than that, looks good 🙂

I have used the Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX in many builds and its a very good board for its price.

What exact Corsair 600w power supply are you looking at?

I was looking at CORSAIR Series CX650 80 Plus Bronze ATX Power Supply however i was also told that it may be underpowered and it wont be too bad if i spring for a higher power incase my gpu needs it and for an additional just ~$10 i can get a MSI MAG A750BN PCIE 5.0 Power Supply Unit which is 750W so i might spring for that

Do that, spend the $10.

Absolutely get the MSI MAG A750BN PSU over the Corsair CX.

The MSI PSU is great

Hey, i just read a review of the Ryzen 5 7600X by PCMag https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/amd-ryzen-5-7600x and its not good, it says its bad for the price, irrelevant and doesnt even support ram above 5200Mhz and the number is even lower on the website, going as low as 3600Mhz, should i be concerned? Should i pick some other CPU?

That article is over a year old and prices have changed.

The 7600x is 'bad value' compared to the 7600 non X as the 7600 comes with a stock cooler and the 7600X does not.

The 7600x is sliightly faster than the 7600.

You decide.    Most people want a better looking cooler with RGB so might as well get the 7600X.

Calling the 7600x irrelevant is a load of bullshit, its one of the best 'budget' gaming CPU's on the market.

You should not be concerned about the RAM speed.  You have to enable XMP / EXPO in the BIOS to make RAM get to 6000Mhz, default DDR5 memory is at 4800/5200 Mhz, that is why they write this.

XMP ( Extreme memory profile ) / EXPO is basically a RAM overclock.

I have built over 50x Ryzen 7000 gaming machines and they have all worked well with 6000Mhz RAM 🙂 Nothing to be worried about.

Here is a picture at 1080p with an RTX 4090 in a 10 game average by Hardware Unboxed.

See how well the 7600X does compared to the more expensive CPU in gaming.  It almost keeps up with the 13900k at HALF the price.

Not so bad after all?  The Ryzen 7600 also keeps up very nicely.

No Problem bud! 😄

Sorry if I came across a bit 'angry'.   Its just that the 7600/x IS a damn good gaming CPU and its without a doubt my favorite CPU on the market right now.

In terms of price to performance, its actually really good.

If you have any further questions or worries, please feel free to tag me and I will help you out.

If I am not around to answer I am sure @Dedayog would help you out as well.

Well, it seems my PC buying plans are better suited next year for personal reasons, however I was wondering if going with the new 9800x3d that everyone is raving about is fine with my config, I'm assuming I'd have to get a much better cooler, probably an AIO, but apart from that is it sensible to go ahead with my motherboard and stuff?

Do some research, about the 9800X3D.  It doesn't need an AIO at all, it's basically ice cold relative to other chips.

You're right ill look a bit more into it, however I'm not quite sure about motherboards and the implications of picking a specific one, i mean i know the one i picked is am5 and will technically support that CPU but will I face any limitations otherwise?

Only limits we know so far are how many usb connections, m.2 slots, etc.  otherwise that motherboard has been approved for 9800x3d use.

Yup may need to adjust PSU depending how stout if a GPU you get of course but that's standard.
