3060 Ventus 2X (MSI) paired with an I7-6700K and a 500W PSU (Please help)

Hello I am pretty dumb with PCs. I currently have a strix 1050 ti paired with an I7-6700K with a 500 watt PSU (Evo labs) E-500 ATX Buy I really want to upgrade to a ventus 2x 3060. The ventus 2x has a 8 pin with a 2 pin at the top. My PSU only has a 6 pin (it may have an 8 pin i dont know) so I would need to get a 6 pin to 8 pin and 2 pin converter. But I do not know if is is good for my pc. And my main question is if i can run the 3060 with the converter and the 500 watt psu please help because im suuuuper stuck. TY! If you help!image.png.90df5b5b4fc3dd71e87187a043f3e5b8.png

Well first you need to actually check what cable you have. Most 6 pins are 6+2 but some OEM prebuilds may come with just a 6 pin and then they're 6 pin for a reason not 8pin. Whilst not recommended I think you can use an adapter but again check the PSU again, make sure it's already not at limit so it doesn't blow up due to current being over what it's made and rated for, cheap PSU's can't handle this.

Is it this PSU? It's garbage and not even a 300w unit. You definitely need a new decent PSU!

Found one seller here and it doesn't list it even having a single 6 pin connector let alone a 6+2.

Wattage here isn't the problem 500W can be used, but quick search online says 650W is minimum recommended, it's the fact that you don't even have a connector to plug into the GPU.

Anything C or above from this list of PSU's.
