How to sleeve my own PSU cables?

Hi,

I understand the process but I have no idea if I should mod the existing cables or buy new ones?

 

Also is there a tool that removes/unlocks the pins from the plugs?

 

I see there no pin to push in like with Dupont plugs.

Close the panel and you see nothing, but if you really want to buy modded cable make sure that you check with seller because some mod cables use different cable sequence brand to brand.

I think I phrased it badly, I need to make the cables as its a SFF PC, any cable you can buy is too long.

I need to route the cables and make them custom length.

 

My main concern is how to take out the Plug Pins. For example in the ATX24 plug.

You need a pin extractor. You can do it with a paper clip, but save your sanity and get a tool.

But is it the same for all pins or do I need different tips for it to work?

The 24 pin, cpu and pcie cables all use the same pin design. Sata is different, molex 4 pin is different.

I have ordered the pin removers, do you know which Pins the ATX CPU VGA cables are? Not the nvidia highpower bs, the normal VGA pin?

I need to buy some of those.
