I'm thinking about getting a new gpu and i can't decide between these two! I play on 1440p @ 180hz. I don't really care about Ray Tracing since i always leave that disabled. I wanna get as much fps as i can get. I also play to undervolt/overclock if that helps me get a little more performance. What would be the more *future proof* option?

They were used for mining.

Shouldn't affect the performance, still sus they are so cheap, where are you buying them? If it's legit, i would definitely get the 6900xt, as it had a way better cooler, and more VRAM, definitely way more future proof

You can try the 7900XTX or XT, or the RTX 4080 or Super, given you wanted 180 fps on 1440p. 6950XT can still work given you do not care much about ray tracing. Not even sure if the 4080 is with your financial or PSU budget.

Personal PC (Main):

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT (ASUS DUAL OC) | Kingston FURY Beast 32GB DDR4-3200MHz CL16 (2x16GB) | Gigabyte B450M-DS3H rev 1.0 | Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB SSD (OS Drive) / TeamGroup L3 EVO 120GB SSD / Western Digital Blue (2019) 1TB HDD 7200RPM | ID Cooling SE-214 XT | Tecware Arc M Black ARGB Case Cougar GEX-750 750W 80+ Gold | AOC 24G2E5 24" 75Hz IPS Freesync | AWP AIM PRO 1000VA UPS w/LED

Secondary (sibling's gaming builds):

Desktop (home server/HTPC)

Intel Core i5-6400 | AMD Radeon RX 570 (Gigabyte Gaming OC 4GB)HyperX Fury 16GB DDR4-2666 (1x16GB) | ASUS H110M-K | Western Digital Blue 3D NAND 250GB SSD (OS Drive) / Seagate Barracuda (2017) 1TB HDD 5900 RPM | Silverstone Strider Essential Bronze 500W 80+ Bronze | Samsung Series 4 LED (2014) 40" | Akari AVR-SVC 500 Servo-Type AVR

Laptop

In that case then you can still try with either one I suggested. I think 6950XT would be good for you as well, as I doubt you need the RTX 4090's features anyway (and that thing is for 4K anyway, not that I myself is trying to save up for a 1440p GPU for 1080p in comparison anyway).
