Random black screen and crashing with fans ramping up to full speed

I have been having this problem for about a year now at random times and random frequency all screens will go black except the one plugged into the motherboard directly.That one only  locks up while the rest of the computers fans ramp to full speed and the only way to stop it is to force it off. I have done a RMA on my graphics card that fixed the issue for about a month before the error returned. I have replaced the ram to ram that was on the recommend list on the asus website. I have gotten it to stop crashing for a short time by taking out the ram and putting it back in before I had replaced the ram as well i am truly at a loss and am desperate for solutions.
