well a couple of montgs ago i sold my old one to build a new rig and it was working good so far but recently i ecountered a strange situation that hitman 3 fps would tank in the bangkok map daytime right at the beginning at the stairs to roughly 45fps with crazy lagspikes but only at this map and this location. does others also face a similar situation in hitman 3 ? rig is a 7900x3d and 4080 super. the only thing i could observe that power usage of the gpu would also get high in comparison when the lagspikes in bangkok happens. inusually get at 4k with all maxed and dlss qualy without framegen around 180 to 230w power consumption but at this location it shoots to atound 380 for a split second and stay higher then usual but only there and only if i havent mislooked it somehow. i use a native 12vhp cable the game is on a nvme pcie3 and i recenly reinstalled the game so a fresh copy. i am on w10 and core parking is working from what i can tell.

Since it's just one map at a specific place it sounds like a game bug to me.

I doubt it's something wrong with your pc if you can play the rest of the game fine.

Have you tried searching the Steam forum for that game, or elsewhere if others have similar problem?

I think at this specific place something is going on behind the scenes, if it always happen at that specific location then it's normal, probably some map is getting loaded into vram. Try directly connecting your GPU to the motherboard, if the problem persists, then I would say it's a game related issue.

I'd still suspect its spilling into CCD1. 7900x3D just really isn't designed for gaming. Unless you're manually disabling CCD1 or using Processor Affinity settings in Task Manager, I'd suspect as much.

Windows 10 and R9 7000x3D doesn't seem to work right, in the few cases I've seen. Either that, or it takes more than baseline to get it working properly. I never tested Win10 with my 7950x3D, so I can't say for sure.

Native 12VHPWR is probably the worst option out of all of them, ironically. There's issues with the sense pins that can cause fan ramping and black screening that doesn't show up on adapted 12VHPWR. That's where the internally adapted 1st party cables are simply the best in my testing, second best being the included 8pin to 12VHPWR adapter.

hmm thank you all gor your replys but it seams dropping mirror reflection quality from high to medium totally fixed it. it seams the game has a lonestanding bug that the developer never gone fix with stuttering when using mirror reflexions since the raytracing update.... bad optimizing strikes again ...... 🥲. but for the record the game was correctly using the 3d vcache cores ccd for the game only. maybe it was spilling some of the background task to the other ccd hard to tell.
