The TVs we ordered from AliExpress finally showed up. Surprise surprise, they're not quite what we ordered. Come check them out.

Random fact, the bit about different empires having their own inches is actually true, and this is why the myth about Napoleon being short came about.  Because French Imperial inches/feet were larger than British Imperial inches, and so while he was ~5'7" in British imperial he was only 5'2" in French imperial.

 

This type of stuff is the reason that the planet switched to metric to standardise everything (aside from one or two holdouts ofc).

 

Extra random bit of trivia, the USA uses almost entirely the British Imperial system however they use French imperial gallons, which unlike the inches are smaller than their British counterparts.  This is why US MPG figures are lower than UK ones for the same car.

Aliexpress is usually pretty good about disputes from my personal experience. Although it definitely would be interesting to see how they'd mediate the case when a high value product is at stake.

If it isn't obvious enough, don't buy cheap TVs from aliexpress. They also use non fire-proof plastic for the chassis, so when it is short-circuited, it would burn down your house.

As someone who has used an LCD laptop from the 90s(CTX, Windows 95 or 98, 4 or 6 MB of RAM), I agree. This is not the worst LCD screen.

China is a country. Countries have their own policies and laws. The adjective to describe a policy of a country named China is Chinese.

Would be fun to see.

 

Largest thing I ever had to return wasn't bigger than half a shoebox, to a local return address.

 

Though I am a reputable buyer with a dispute ratio of less than 10% [most items I buy are from the bundle-deals [smarthome stuff], and a bunch other during major sales]
