So recently I've been thinking of finally switching to a DDR5 system, and I found a really good deal on Lexar Ares RGB ram (2x16gb, CL30 and 6400mts) for only a 110 euros since it's on sale, is this a good brand and are they trustworthy?I'm currently using G.skill ram for like 5 years and I couldn't be happier, but I know RAM makers like Corsair, Kingston, G.skill ect. But never heard of this Lexar? Is the brand any good?

They're a reputable brand. Of course, when it comes to RAM, brand means very little. What really matters is who makes the actual RAM chips that are soldered onto the stick.

It's sort of like with graphics cards: what really matters is the GPU, which is made by AMD or Nvidia, and the AIB partner is just responsible for putting it in a card that will let it perform to spec. RAM is similar.

I personally bought a 2x16GB DDR4 3200 kit from them some time ago for a PC for my mother. I think the brand is reliable, or at the very least, reliable enough. I think they'd be somewhere inbetween Kingston and TeamGroup/Adata.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

They used to be owned by Micron and almost exclusively used Micron memory/flash and I'd have considered them pretty reliable during those years.

They're now owned by a Chinese company and often use Chinese components (like YMTC flash), which I don't know how the long-term reliability will play out.

Are you going Intel or AMD?

I would personally stick with G. Skill.  You know it's proven and have great experience with it.  Lexar is a Tier 2 brand, they may use the same modules others do, but they have some corners to achieve the savings.

Yes, but sometimes you can find similarly priced alternatives, that may or may not be better.

My experience says it's reliable, but the prices are lower for a reason (not all the most expensive brands are so because of the brand name).
Also, it shouldn't be uncommon to find this brand on sale (so it's not necessarily a great deal). If you can wait on the upgrade, maybe save some money to get a better brand like GS or Crucial?
