4090 is showing pcie 4.0 when I connected it to a pcie 5.0 slot

On the 3dmark time spy , the system information graphics adapter shows the 4090 on a bus interface of pcie x 16 4.0, but my asrock x870e TAICHI motherboard is pcie 5.0. What have I got wrong?

RTX 4000 are PCie4, and I think 5000 will too

Don't think it'll make any difference anyway, as the 4090 was barely bottlenecked on Gen3...

THe 4090 is pcie 4.0. Your mobo is 5.0. It will run at pcie 4.0. speeds.

You need the mtt s80, which do supports gen5 speeds, but if you go Nvidia, yeah.... You are stuck with gen 4 untill... 5090?
