HP Z Book with RTX A500 not playing nice with all the USB-C Docks

Hi all,

I am breaking my head over a graphic issue for the past 2 weeks I cannot get around.

I've received a new work laptop that at the office connected to a dock and 2 1440P displays works flawlessly and at home

connected to a dock and 2 1440P displays has refresh rate issues.
Another laptop (with a RTX 3000 GPU intergrated) runs flawlesly on this same setup.

Scenario:

I own a Dell D6000 Universal Dock to connect the work laptops to my setup.

The dock is connected to normal peripherals (nothing out of the ordinary) and 2 Phlips 1440P 75Hz Displays.
The displays are also connected to my game PC (second input so not via the dock).

I've got a brand new HP Z Book Workstation Laptop for work.
See specs below.

For a reason I currently do not really understand I have a very very slow refresh rate on both my 1440P displays.
Animations in Windows taking twice as long and when dragging windows accros there is also a timing issue between the displays.

Things I've tried to resolve this:

  • The Windows 10 install shows that the displays are running on 60Hz. Bumping them up to 75Hz causes artifacts (the typical blue and red lines and green dots)
    suggesting something bandwith related.;

  • Updating DIsplay Link Drivers both from the Dell website as from the Display Link website. No changes;

  • Updating all firmware. Also on the dock. No changes;

  • Updating the Nvidia Drivers. No changes.

Suspicious is the HP Support Assistant that shows a total of 4 connected displays (3 via Display Link) while in fact

there are 2 displays connected via Displaylink (the 1440p's) and the laptops intergrated display.

Is the some misunderstanding between the dock and the laptop? Am I not utilizing the GPU power of the laptop when connect to this dock?

I cannot get around it. Especialy because of the fact that at the office the same setup.
The dock at the office is an HP One but also just a simple USB-C dock.

Anyone with toughts?
