Why does frame gen in samsung tv cause headace

Our brains are VERY good at filtering out innacuracies. As well as filling in things between motion in for example a 24fps cartoon.

Framegen makes weird messedbup approximationsnbasically making our brain go that ain quite right and have to work on it. It can also induce invisible to us flickering but that will cause strain to your eyes and then head.

Just turn it off and avoid the pain.

Also motion sickness can happen from this stuff oddly enough.

Turn it down a notch. I personally can't watch 24 fps content without getting a headache and need motion interpolation to make movies enjoyable. But I only use medium settings so it interpolates to 60 fps, not 120. That means close to no artifacts and a smoother, more enjoyable experience.

I fully disagree with the "24 FPS is better because your imagination fills in the blanks" sentiment. Stuttering content completely destroys immersion for me.

200Hz also sounds like hogwash to me. The actual refresh rate is 120Hz at best. 200Hz is more likely the flicker frequency of the backlight and the fact that this TV used flickering to regulate the brightness is probably the reason for your headaches.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Probably not well made. The interpolation I take it. What model, was it for vid or games. But yeah, definitely not showing morebthen what TV actually can Hz wise. Maybe trying to smooth lower fps stuff, but badly. As this can be done properly.

One of the reasons I don't watch action stuff really for number of years, it's just zoomed in blurred stutterfest. The 24fps is nonsense, HDR makes it even worse since HFR is needed as optimal. But that's another thing now.
