People accuse us of being out of touch. How much does a banana cost? $10?!? Today, we're pitting our tech tipsters against each other in a Gaming PC Build-Off using only their knowledge. That’s right, they need to build a $1000 PC without checking the internet for pricing. Do they know the price of each GPU off hand? What about RAM? CPU?

Even without checking internet, this challenge wouldn't be that hard for me. 😎🥶

Don't believe me?

120-150$ 7600/7600x

150$ ASRock Pro RS/ASRock HDV/M.2

90$ 6000Mhz CL30 2x16GB RAM Silicon Power/Teamgroup

0$ stock cooler (at least with 7600)

Montech 903 Max is between 60-70$

PSU just get MSI A750BN, which is like max 80$ probably less

For SSD you get 50-60$ NVME or 80-100$ NVME if you want 1/2TB

And for GPU, you obviously go AMD, with RX 6800 or RX 6750/6700 XT for the remaining budget.

Total budget: ~600$ without GPU so you're remaining on budget with GPU approx 400$.

And this is being safe, because I know this might even cost 900$ or less.. so you're probably free to gamble with higher storage which I assume would get me more points (I haven't seen the video yet)

my suggestin,in next challenge all people will be locked 1 of time.

people will sent q ny time to pick part then people are done picking parts they are sent to separate room

would make series more imtresting and wiinning is allowed to keepnpc.

tnh i only watched winner announcement part for that reason

I was all over PcPartPicker as soon as I started watching. It felt good. Yeah, Alex picking a $700 GPU and saying it was cheap was an error. Cut him some slack guys, he shattered the side panel too - that doesn't make him a bad man.

Not thrilled about Linus being paywalled, kind of expected a reaction especially with him in intro. Better then last time where half the video was locked but IdontLikeIt™️

45 second timer felt unnecessary especially with parts literally not being available. Would like to see next episode where people place their order for parts. Maybe 5-10 minutes to do so.

Great editing! Just felt like didn’t see enough of what the winners were doing. Mostly because Alex and Elijah were more entertained.

Overall really liked this new Warehouse Wars series!

This still showed how out of touch there are. 99.9999999999999% of people just have a warehouse full of hundreds of parts.

Everyone else have to pay shipping and tax.
FPS does not show how good your PC is.

pointless argument.

Most budgets are for parts, tax is on top of that.  And last time I built a PC, I think I spent a grand total of 5$ shipping one of the parts?  The rest were all free shipping.

If tax and shipping *have* to be covered?  Then it's more like an 880-900$ build, not 1000$.

Shipping and tax is still included.

Are you bad at reading?  Cuz I already fucking answered that.

If you need a 1000$ limit including shipping and tax?  It's more like an 850-900$ build.

People saying a 1000$ Build are usually not counting shipping / tax in that 1000$.  (Also, most of the time you'll pay little to nothing in shipping.  As I mentioned, my last build cost me 5$ shipping across all the parts.)

The best $1000 computer apparently is a $1100 computer and no one could stick to budget. Honestly I really wish the penalty was higher.

They were guessing blind, on a very harsh time crunch.

Most of them did pretty damned well, given that.  (Sorry Team 7900 XT, you were just plain wrong.)
