Need Help: Colored flickering vertical and horizontal lines on monitor

To get started, here's my specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3060 Ti V2 GAMING OC LHR
  • Mobo: GIGABYTE B650M AORUS ELITE AX ICE
  • RAM: G.Skill 32GB (2x16B) F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR Trident Z5 Neo RGB 6000MHz CL30 DDR5
  • PSU: SeaSonic Prime Ultra 1000W 80+ Titanium Fully Modular Power Supply (SSR-1000TR)
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro
  • Monitor: MSI MAG401QR

Came here to get some help with my monitor issue. It's been flickering colored lines occasionally and I can't pin down the issue. The issue started off as thick flickering lines then, after some investigation, the lines became thinner and less frequent (see attached image). Didn't really mind this at first but this caused 1 dead pixel on my monitor after a while. At first, I thought it's caused by GPU under heavy load or a random spike from idle but that isn't the case after checking through HWInfo. Moved outlet locations but that didn't change anything either.

I went through the following trying to narrow down the issue, but it still persists:

  • Reseating monitor power cables.
  • Changing the monitor's power cable (this monitor only uses normal PC power cable).
  • Changing display cables (HDMI & DP), and swapping cable connection positions (both on PC & monitor ends).
  • Disconnecting other devices from outlets.
  • Isolated where the monitor's plugged into another wall socket.
  • Installing & reinstalling monitor driver.
  • Connecting display to integrated GPU.
  • Connecting to display to a gaming laptop (Acer Predator Helios 500 | PH517-51).
  • Enabling/disabling AMD Freesync on the monitor.
  • Disabling/enabling NVIDIA GSync in the control panel.
  • Lowering/changing refresh rate
  • Changing monitor resolution.
  • Enabling/disabling DP OC on the monitor
  • Enabled/disabled the physical OC switch on my GPU.

Checked my PC against a different monitor (MSI G321Q) and had no problems with the display.

At this point, would it be better to just return the monitor under warranty?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
