iOS 18 on Xs

Andrew297

I have an iPhone XS on iOS 17.4 with 74% battery health (original factory battery), I saw in settings that I can upgrade to iOS 18, is it worth it or not?

Does someone have a xs on ios 18? If yes, how does it run?

If you like the look of the old control center over the new one then stay on ios 17.4. I'm on an iphone 15 and it runs fine but I had an iPhone XR on ios 17.4 with 80% battery health and it wasn't so happy with that. I'd say stay on ios 17.4 unless you really want the new control center and home screen customization

I think the new Control Center and the new Photos app are totally garbage, but I do appreciate having RCS to text my Android friends now.

If RCS isn't important to you, I think staying on iOS 17 might be the better decision. Keep in mind that doing a full device backup and then "Erase All Content and Settings" can make your phone feel like brand new. I have a 12 (work) and a 14 Pro and they're both still as fast and new as the day I got them.
