Either are more than enough. (Definitely don't need 1000W for that system) Just buy something well rated. Not all, for example, 850W PSU's are created equal. If you need help, list your options.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2

Ryzen 7 5800x - XFX RX6600 - Asus STRIX B550i - 32GB DDR4-3200CL14 - Corsair SF750 - Lian Li O11 Mini - EK 360 AIO - Asus PG348Q

Depends on how long u intend to keep the system for, as I like to just add more things into my system, I would choose the bigger one so I don't have to buy an entirely new psu just to make things work

Note: I intend to run multi gpu XD

I have a 2020 model with a 5600X and RTX 3080, and I would recommend it for you as long as you don't OC both your major parts, don't have a bunch of other add-ons that drive power draw much higher, and don't upgrade your GPU every year or two.

If doing substancial OC of both parts, then it is possible that it could use most of the PSU's capacity to the point that it runs hotter or louder than OP wants. If they don't care about either, then that's fine.

I got a decent deal on a 1000w unit, or else I would have just gotten an 850w unit.

The thingy between my PC and the wall says 400-450w when playing Forza Motorsport.

Running DC on both the CPU and GPU does about 650w at the wall.

Linpack and Furmark is just over 700w.

I'm sure you haven't, but just to make sure, only your PC is plugged into the thingy right? not monitors etc as well.

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Nope, just the PSU.

The question was rhetorical. The 7800x3D is like 85W max, 40W in games. There isn't any overclocking here. The type of person asking for PSU suggestions isn't going to be pushing a 6950xt with exotic cooling beyond what a quality 850W PSU can supply.
