I want to buy possibly in a few months a 4060 ti 16gb to replace my 3050 8gb but I want to know if my corsair cv650 psu is enough paired with my I7 12700F

(ik most dont like the 4060ti but I don't want to change my psu and the 4060ti is about the same price as a 3060 just $50 more on sale in my country)

That would be fine, however I think I'd suggest going with a RX 7700 XT instead of a 4060 Ti if you don't care about raytracing.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

4060 Ti 16GB is the worst GPU ever, please just get 7800XT or a used 3090.

The 4060 Ti 16GB is not good value for money but its far from the 'worst GPU ever'.

Also don't recommend a 3090 with insane power spikes when OP has a low tier 650w PSU.

Sure, but even a 3070 would have a wider memory bus, more Cuda cores, etc. Also I worded that wrong, I meant the worst value GPU ever.

A 3070 is totally different than a 3090 in terms of power spikes.  You never mentioned a 3070.

As for worst value GPU, its definitely up there!

I forgot OP had 650W PSU in my first post. That's why I suggested a 3090.
