What does the Wifi Signal lines stand for? (surely not for speed)

ID0

So I haven't changed in my house anything, everything is setup the same way.
Now suddenly my WiFi is beyond slow when (keep it real) I sit in the toilet with my tablet watching TikTok.

I ran some speed tests and it seems like my internet there is:
Download 1MiB
Upload 2MiB (i know it's weird)
Ping: 37

I used to be able to watch anything there without any issues even YT 4K videos.
My WiFi shows all 5 lines aka full signal on my tablet... but I have 1MiB download and 2MiB upload?
Now I'm back in my room and I suddenly have 100MiB download and 40MiB upload while ALSO having 5 Wifi lanes showing?

What are those Wifi lanes even showing?

Rough representation of signal strength, however is there is no standard for what dBm translates to how many "bars".
