If i have multiple gpus in my system, will steam take all gpus or only one for the hardware survey?

FuchsFuchs1

I have a 1080ti in my system and a 1030 but in the steam hardware survey it only showed the 1030. will the 1080ti be counted or only the 1030?

Good question. Did you look at the submitted data to see what was in it? This could be a growing problem since it looks like AM5 CPUs often are default enabled even if you have a dGPU.

I mean, iGPU enabled by default is pretty normal, otherwise you'd need dGPU to use iGPU

There's probably a bit of "depends on the bios" about it. On most of my Intel systems through the years, if I put in an AMD or NV dGPU, the iGPU gets disabled without user intervention. My Rocket Lake system was a bit odd with Arc, iGPU remains enabled if I plug in Arc, but not with NV. Now with AM5, I find the 7800X3D iGPU is default enabled with NV dGPU.

iGPU being enabled by default if there is no dGPU is fine. It is more interesting if it remains enabled or gets disabled when a dGPU is also present.

well i have a 2009 macpro, also it said gt 1030. i kinda had the same problem with my vdi vms where it would say the default driver as gpu since i have a display still enabled just incase i need to troubleshoot stuff with the grid drivers.

back to the mac, what i dont get is why the 1030 would be seen as the main gpu since the 1080ti is at the slot meant for gpus on the mac and monitor 1 runs of it.
