SecretLab Replacement Parts - Chair Piston

Name of Brand: Secret Lab

Description of your issue: Failing piston, can't get a replacement

Have you tried solving your issue through the brand's customer support channel? If so, what was the result? They don't sell replacements

What would an ideal resolution of your issue look like? Allow me to buy a replacement piston, or have a solution or part compatibility option.

The chairs have a serial number, I would assume that is tracked. And part replacement on higher-end chairs should be a given. I bought it second-hand, have no qualms about paying for a part, but this is creating a disposable chair if a common failure part can not be replaced.image.thumb.png.c0732c7f95955b9a60a9fcd51065f3a0.png

Not selling warranty only parts to an un-original owner is pretty standard. The reason they won't sell you the part is you are not the original owner and they reserve their parts they have on hand for Warranty services. If the chair is still in the Warranty period, maybe see if you can get in touch from the person you bought it second hand from and see if they still have a copy of or can get a copy of the purchase receipt. With that you can simply submit a warranty claim for the part.

Have you already checked for second hand replacement parts, I.e. on ebay? Or looked into non-secretlab pistons? They sell office chair replacement pistons on Amazon, as far as I know Secret Lab uses standard pistons, it's probably just a class 4 and you can get those online for like $20 to $30.
