Rate my Build!

Budget: < $1200 USD

Country: US

I've had this build finished for about a month and a half now, and wanted some feedback on what I could've done differently to get more value. I'm a complete noob when it comes to building and Linus's first person guide was so helpful when getting this guy made. I've done some benchmarks with the following games:

Overwatch 2: 150-200fps on High

Horizon Zero Dawn: 60fps on Ultra

Halo Infinite: 60fps 1080p on Medium

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there! welcome to the Forum.

This is a very good build without you spending a lot of money on unnecessary parts or overpriced components.  The SSD is quite pricey though.

The rest of the system is great 🙂

Definitely could use a GPU upgrade sometime in the future without worrying about other components.

The PSU is great.

Is this build purely for gaming? If so you can make a better one within this budget. I changed it to AM5, and a 7800XT which is miles ahead of the 3060. The motherboard is pretty expensive for the CPU, but other one's were either more expensive, or trash. With it's 14 phase VRM it will easily handle any CPU upgrade in the future

Then the the build above will be perfect for you. You could also go for a white build if you like, but it would cost like $50 extra for a white case, cooler and gpu, ram costs the same

Build looks good but go with DDR5 motherboard and DDR5 random access memory.

So you're saying that $180 2TB SSD and that $90 case that includes a single 120mm intake fan looks good?

Pricing was more volatile on my end;

Samsung 990 EVO 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X2 NVME Solid State Drive  ($79.98 @ Amazon)

But I still stand by my DDR5 recommendation.
