Help! Dell XPS 15 getting burning hot

So, last year I bought a XPS 15 and since about a month my warranty as expired. Now that I don't have any warranty when I charge it to 100% it starts losing all the charge as soon as it hit the 100% mark. Yesterday, it was at 40% when I put it on charge and this morning it was burning hot (I could have cooked a steak on it) and the battery was at 30%. The graph that you can get in windows setting was showing that the battery had it 100% then it started falling even tho my computer was totally turn off. All I can find is that it is probably due to dust stacking up, but I only use it in clean spaces, all vents are clean and I can feel the air pass through. Plus, the laptop is losing charge way quicker than it used to just a month ago. For now I've changed the BIOS settings to better cooling, but it is still getting very very hot just for being plugged. Can someone help me figure it out?? I think I've told all the details, but let me know if I missed one

Just for info, I've always well treated my laptop and I got to send it to repair one time because of a motherboard problem and Dell replaced it.

I can renew my warranty if it is a good option but I'd prefer to save the cost.

That is a battery issue and a huge fire hazard. As none of the power was going to charge your battery it was instead producing head. I would highly recommend removing the battery and or replace it if you intend to use your laptop.

There is a slight change that it is an issue with you charger so if you can I would test it.

Agreeing with Galaxy here.
Look at your laptop from the side, see if it's buldging upwards. If it is, you got some spicy pillows ready to blow, you don't want to wait until that happens.
Contact Dell, ask them if they could still cover you, sometimes companies are nice enough if it hasn't been that long since the warranty expired.
If not, go to a local repair shop with good reviews and see what they'll quote you, should be around 300$ mark if they use the original battery from Dell, maybe more.
One thing for sure: turn that thing off immediately, and maybe cover it for now until you get it repaired.
