Weird display/audio connection issues with new CoPilot + pc - Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge

Hello!

First time poster here, wasn't really sure where else to turn. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge, 16 inches, the 512gb model. When connecting to a dell dock, via one of my usb c ports I am running into all sorts of buggy issues with the dock.

Some things that have happened:

Screen just goes black and can only see the mouse show up on the screen when I move it
Nothing - meaning no image on the plugged in displays
It not saving my display settings from the last time I plugged it in.
It completely hard crashing my computer and making it reboot

All of those things I've figured out can be resolved by a restart, or turning HDR off (which seems to continue to be the bane of windows machines...). Or strangely enough, just plugging the dock into the other usb c port (which shouldn't matter as they are both rated for the same speed I believe?).

The most infuriating part about all this is the audio just simply won't work when plugging into the aux port on the doc. I can switch to the onboard speakers and sounds come out those, but I can't get it to pick up the signal through the port. The reason that this drives me up a wall, is because I have gotten it to work, but I can't seem to trouble shoot a solution to get it to work again.

I do realize there is plenty of things to overcome with these new ARM laptops and wouldn't be as persistent about it if I hadn't gotten it to work before. Any help would be appreciated.

Some of the branded docks are designed to be used only with their own products, so any 3rd party devices used can be a hit or miss.

Try updating the firmware
