Alienware AW3225QF Defective From Factory

TheGMan1776

I'm having this exact same issue (reddit link) and I just got off the phone with Dell support and they told me they don't normally offer replacements for this issue but they'll make an exception and send me a REFURBISHED monitor and can't send me a NEW monitor since I didn't contact them in the first 30 days. I understand their policy is their policy but I don't understand how this isn't a bigger issue then what it seems everyone is making it out to be. These monitors are leaving the factory defective and I can't get a NEW monitor when I paid full price for a new monitor that was defective from the factory especially since its a $1000+ monitor. I got a new monitor, loved it, was having fun, and noticed a few spots maybe 2 or 3 across the whole display and didn't think much of it but it wasn't until recently that it became a bigger problem and continues to get worse with these spots all over the monitor after the window to get a new replacement monitor. Like I said I understand their policy is their policy but I think this scenario is 100% different given the fact that its an issue on Dells part with the monitor from manufacturing and other people are having the same problem too and across other monitors too so its not like this is a small issue. I was just wondering kinda where everyone else was on this front if you have this problem and contacted Dell support about it or what you guys think of the issue am I in the wrong or is Dell in the wrong? Would love to hear some other peoples thoughts on it. I attached 2 photos of my monitor as well

Did more spots start appearing while you have been using it?

that's weird, but why didn't you return it after seeing those pixels?

So they're basically denying warranty replacement of a defective product? That's actually illegal. And that's what you should tell them.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
