Help with an upgrade for a Lenovo PC

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: software for uni like autocad, postgresql, some virtual machines and maybe simple games likes cs or league of legends

Hello guys.
I want to upgrade my Lenovo pre-built pc with a new sata ssd and an m.2 for general uni use, software etc.
I have had a really hard time figuring out what can my pc fit and what it cannot.
The pdf that contains the specs is this.
My question is, can I buy an m.2 and a sata ssd and put them in my pc?
Is there any compatibility problems for the m.2 that I would buy? (which is a wd blue m.2 ssd 1 tb pci 3.0)
Could I upgrade my ram with a gskill one and how much ram can I add?
Also another question,
If I sometime want to upgrade my graphics card to a newer model AMD Radeon, or even a rtx 4070, I would need to change more stuff like the power supply and the case right?
Thanks if anyone takes time to answer this.
Sorry for the bad english, not my first language.

Motherboard is proprietairy too so you also have to replace that. As you see you have to replace half of the system to get what you want. Better sell this piece of sht and build one from scratch.

Probably easiest to just open your PC and look if you have a spare drive bay to put the SATA 2.5" SSD and a spare power cable for it (data cables are easy).

M.2, again, just look for the slot.

From what I can see in the manual, you have a max of: 1x M.2 slot and 2x SATA 2.5" bays, so whatever you have now is going to take at least 1 of those.

Put your computer into Crucial or Kingston's configurators, it should help.

Likely 32GB or 64GB is max (manual says you have 2x slots).

It depends how much of the PC is proprietary, but it is likely that you can't do that. If you have a power connector then maybe you could get a 4070, but safest option for these type of PCs is often a slot-powered card.

That psu won't power a 4070. And you can't change the psu because the size is proprietary.

M.2 drives can be SATA or PCIe protocol. WD Blue can be both too. And your desktop seems to support only NVMe so be careful to buy the right WD Blue (or else).

From what I see you can only house two drives in total, 1 SATA and 1 NVMe.

(I'd ditch the SATA and just buy a fat NVMe)

I'm willing to swim against the current.

Going by the specs you have provided from the PC's manual. You can add 1 M.2 NVMe 2280 and you have room for a 2.5 SSD. The maximum RAM is 32GB DDR4-3200. Since the power supply is 260 watts you would need a GPU that does not use external power. Also you need to measure the space inside the case so that you can find a GPU that will fit. There are many GPU's that will fit this case. So a board powered GPU will do just fine. I understand being on a budget. I would suggest looking around online and wait for a sale for the items you want. If the sales price is right you could buy 1 item at a time or maybe the drives and RAM all at once. Check the shipping costs first or maybe buy in person. If you were to buy a GPU, M.2, SSD and a GPU at once that would be over your budget.
