Connecting Xbox controller through USB completely disables bluetooth

Dekuuz

As said in the title. I recently decided to get a controller to play console ports on PC and whenever I connect the controller through USB, it completely disables my Bluetooth. I'm using a Bluetooth adapter on my PC and after connecting the controller my Speaker Setup goes to (UNKNOWN). The Xbox controller I am trying to connect is a PowerA Advantage wired controller from Walmart and the Bluetooth adapter is from Amazon. Really hope I can get this fixed soon. Thanks.

this might be a hardware issue on the controller side as i have razer wolverine v2 xbox controller (wired) and it doesn't disable Bluetooth...

only way to check this is with another controller (8bitdo for example) or another dongle, but i think its probably the controller that's the issue here.

I tried it with SCPServer on a PS3 DS3 controller and the same thing happens. When plugging in either controller with the Windows menu open the Bluetooth option just disappears.

Check device manager when this happens to see if the bluetooth adapter is still listed there.

If it's showing an error, then it's either a driver or a device issue.

If it's not even showing in device manager, then it might be an issue with your windows install or a hardware issue (possibly the PSU).
