Go in to your BIOS settings and in there you will find a setting to select UEFI or Legacy mode. Usually under boot settings. As for the SAS disk it may not have come from a SAN since servers can have them as DAS etc.
The SAS card you have does support UEFI but only with newer firmware. What I would do though is unplug the SAS disk and plug in any SATA HDD or SSD you have and see if it gets detected, that'll show you if the SAS card is actually working and/or the SAS disk itself is the problem.
