So basically you balled out for a 7950X and 64GB RAM but left everything else severely unbalanced.

Okay, buy a new PSU then get a 7900XT.

An MSRP RTX 4070 Ti Super will fit your budget.

You didn't specify PSU though, you should have 650-750W.

The 7900xt gets about the same performance, way more VRAM, and costs $100 less than 4070ti super. Though like the guy above me said, it depends on your PSU

My concern is "same performance" in what?!? There is presumably a reason why there's 16 cores and 64Gb RAM in that build and it won't be gaming.

What is the use-case? @NoClueBrainDead You missed key information that means people might give you some very bad advice.

I 100% agree with the RX7900XT + ~850W PSU option IF this is purely for gaming, but I am concerned that whatever software you needed 16 cores and 64Gb of RAM for might only benefit from nVidia CUDA cores?

I was assuming video editing/CAD because CPU cores and a large amount of higher capacity (and normally lower performance) RAM would give slower gaming, but would still be the choice for video editing / CAD work?

With that in mind: which software suites are you running?

FYI - for a good PSU, age doesn't normally matter until it gets >15 years... "550v" (volts?) - assume this is "550W" (Watts), but if you wanted to keep this, we would need to know the make and model as this will determine what the different power rails can handle. Likely this will need to be replaced as most modern GPU's recommend 750W-900W, with 850W being the price-performance sweet spot and then we hunt around for the best bang for buck.

Main rig: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, AC Freezer3 280mm AIO, Asrock Steel Legend X670E, RTX3080Ti FE, 32Gb Teamgroup Create-T DDR5-6000C30, M.2 1Tb WDSN850, M.2 1Tb WDSN550, 8Tb WD80EFAX, 16Tb EXOS, Corsair HX850, LianLi O11 Air Mini + 3x NF-A14's, MSI MPG 321URX (27"/1440P/360Hz), Gigabyte M27Q (27"/1440P/170Hz), Asus PA248 (24"/1200P/60Hz), G815 kbd, G Pro X Superlight 2, Sony WH-H910N, ModMic Wireless.

Games room "TV rig": 5800X3D, AC Freezer2 280mm AIO, ASUS Prime B450M, GTX1660S*, 32Gb TridentZ DDR4-3600C14, M.2 500Gb WDSN550, 8Tb WD80EFAX, PCP&C 610W,  LianLi O11 Air Mini, LG G4 (55"/4K/120Hz), G815 kbd, G502 mouse, LG G1 Soundbar. *new GPU planned!

Lounge HTPC: Minisforum UM760 Slim, Ryzen 5 7640HS, 16Gb DDR5, 1Tb M.2.

NAS: Synology 1812+, 3Gb RAM, 3x16Tb Seagate EXOS RAID5, 1Tb MX500 cache, 3x3Tb WDRED RAID6, 120Gb SSD cache.
